“Faces talk”

The depiction of the human face is not only one of the first and greatest artistic motifs in art but also the most common one. Apart from the inexhaustibility of the human face, the portrait is a reflection of a unique individuality, a reflection of one spiritual image of an individual. The exhibition “Faces Talk” will show about thirty selected portraits from the Art Collection of the City Museum of Rijeka. These are works of exceptional quality which, in addition to artistic features, also carry an interesting historical story. Their life stories vividly represent moments from the dynamic history of Rijeka and testify to the rich cultural and artistic life of the city.
