The humanitarian auction of paintings by the Rijeka artist Mauro Stipnov, held on 1st March at the City Museum of Rijeka, in cooperation with the Rijeka Clinical Hospital Clinic for Paediatrics and the Croatian Medical Chamber, was successfully completed. The wish of all participants in the auction was to raise funds to buy a bronchoscope that is indispensable in the treatment of children’s respiratory problems, worth HRK 79 thousand.
There were sold 17 oils on canvas at the auction, which raised a total of HRK 98,000. This means that the Department of Paediatric Anaesthesiology at the Children’s Hospital Kantrida Clinic for Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care will soon receive a device that will be used to treat the youngest patients.
The organizers of the auction thank everyone who participated in the event on their humane contribution.
It’s no secret – without our youngest ones and without caring for them in particularly sensitive moments, life seems to have no sense at all!
