The World Biennial of Student Posters

The World Biennial of Student Posters is an event that has been held since 2003, organised by the Academy of Arts of the University of Novi Sad. This time it has arrived in a less than expected version. After last year’s break, due to Covid reasons, the great collaboration between the City Museum of Rijeka and the Academy of Arts has continued with a “summarised exhibition.”
Instead of presenting the latest student works, created during the last two years, the organiser decided to present a cross-section of previous activities. Entitled Best of the Best 2003 – 2020, it is an exhibition of the most successful posters displayed during the almost 20 years since the founding of the Biennial. It can now be viewed at the City Museum of Rijeka, where the Biennial is regularly hosted, doing it in alternation with the World Biennial of Student Photography.
As experience has shown so far, the works with the signatures of hundreds of participants arrive in Novi Sad from all continents, and the international jury chooses the best works for the exhibition. This time, 50 works are presented, which are characterised by a youthful wit, artistic inventiveness and creative maturity.
The exhibition is open in the Kockica (The Cube), from 6th to 18th July 2021.
